In this launch episode of What’s the Tea with Sarah E, I sit down with the iconic Kenadie St. James - entertainer, mentor, pageant legend, and Hamilton’s own drag powerhouse.

Originally from the southern United States, Kenadie has been performing for more than 25 years, carving out her name in the drag pageant circuit as both an entertainer and a sought-after pageant dresser and makeup artist. With six national titleholders under her tutelage - including Canada’s own Brooke Lynn Hytes - her artistry and influence have left an undeniable mark on the drag world.

After moving to Hamilton, Ontario in 2016 with her husband and their beloved dogs, Kenadie founded CNR Productions Inc., bringing her creativity and sharp wit to stages across the region. She is also the force behind Hamilton’s longest-running drag brunches, creating space for connection, laughter, and unapologetic self-expression.

In this conversation, Kenadie opens up about:
