It's called living system science. And we've learned an awful lot about living systems in the past 50 years that we didn't know before that. But economics as a discipline and business and business management as a discipline, all predated.

the emergence of, we could simplify and just call it ecology, but it's a much more sophisticated understanding of how living systems from the microscopic right up to the planet itself and cosmologists believe the entire universe actually work.
