Thursday, September 11th: In Episode 594, we ask a simple but life-changing question: How do we actually know God, not just know about Him? We explore the gospel as the good, true, and real knowledge of God—God making Himself known in Jesus through the Spirit, not a slogan or a single doctrine. Walking slowly through Ephesians 4:17–24, we unpack Paul’s invitation to “learn Christ,” a relational kind of knowing that reshapes our minds, habits, and hopes. Paul’s rhythm—“put off… be renewed… put on”—shows both a decisive new identity in Christ and the daily renovation of the Spirit. We warn against two common reductions of the gospel: doctrines-only (passing the test but missing the Person) and activism-only (pursuing justice while unplugged from the Vine). Instead, we hold together orthodoxy, orthopraxy, and a renewed heart as the fruit of truly knowing God. Along the way, we remember that Jesus is the living Logos, the center of Scripture, and the One who reveals the Father’s heart in word and deed. Practically, we offer five simple steps this week—read Ephesians 4 out loud, name an “old self” reflex, sit with a gospel story, keep Scripture in your pocket before your phone, and check in with a trusted friend. The episode closes with a prayer for renewed minds and a gentle invitation to keep turning toward Jesus. In a noisy world, the way forward isn’t more volume; it’s learning the Person who is the truth.
