このコンテンツについて
In this episode, we share the powerful story of Isadore Poorman, a survivor of the Muscowequan Residential School in Saskatchewan—the last residential school to close in the province. Isadore recalls the fear that shaped his childhood inside those walls: the punishments for smiling, crying, or speaking his language, and the lasting scars carried long after he left. We also explore the dark history of Muscowequan itself, where unmarked graves have been uncovered, and why survivors fought to preserve the building as a national historic site rather than erase it. This is not only Isadore’s story of loss, but of survival, memory, and the fight to reclaim identity.
