 This week in Detroit, the city is teeming with exciting events and experiences for listeners of all ages. Today, Thursday August 7th, kicks off Sail Detroit 2025, a family-friendly celebration of the city’s vibrant maritime history. The festival runs through Sunday August 10th and features a stunning parade of Tall Ships arriving today along the Detroit Riverfront. Families will want to check out Movie Nights in the D. This Friday night at Cadillac Square near Campus Martius Park, bring a blanket to watch Emperor’s New Groove for free under the stars with the city as your backdrop.

On Saturday, Detroit’s Divine Nine fraternities and sororities host the annual Metro Detroit National Pan-Hellenic Council Greek Cookout. This celebration of unity and culture welcomes everyone for food, fellowship, and entertainment in a lively community atmosphere.
