このコンテンツについて
This July, as we mark Disability Pride Month, the CIPD Ireland Podcast shines a light on what inclusive leadership means when it comes to disability inclusion in the workplace. This episode was inspired by our latest HR Practices in Ireland 2025 report, where disability was cited by 23% of employers as the most pressing equality challenge. Yet, real inclusion and representation remain a challenge in many workplaces.
Host Meg Dunphy is joined by two expert voices:
- Catherine Murray, an autistic researcher specialising in disability and inclusive employment, in AHEAD. She shares practical steps from their WIDE Framework to help employers create more accessible, disability-confident workplaces.
- James Cawley Jnr, Business Development Manager for the Irish Centre for Diversity. James is a proud Disabled person and an advocate for equality. He is an expert with lived experience of disability, highlights why representation at every level—including leadership—is crucial for meaningful change.
Together, they explore the barriers people with disabilities still face, how organisations can move beyond compliance to embed true inclusion, and how leaders can amplify disabled voices to create workplaces where everyone belongs.
With practical insights for HR professionals, managers, and leaders, this episode calls on organisations to step up and take action towards real, lasting disability inclusion.
