Eleanor Chupp has spent the last six years caring for her cancer-stricken mother. Now her mother is gone, and Eleanor is left to live alone with her father, a mean-spirited man with a heart of granite.

Mennonite Moses Stuckey is shocked to find a pretty, young Amish girl hiding in the straw in his family’s barn.
