Julian of Norwich was a fourteenth-century Christian mystic, important English theologian, and visionary writer. Indeed, her masterpiece, A Revelation of Divine Love, is the first book written by a woman in English. Six centuries after her death, she continues to inspire readers with her pious and moving words.

Now, you can enjoy this brilliant course on Julian. In nine lectures, you''ll consider what we know (and don''t know) about her life and the larger historical context into which she fits. You''ll also take an in-depth look at A Revelation of Divine Love and explore what she says about Christ''s passion, the Trinity, the nature of sin, the practice of prayer, and much more.

By getting to know Julian and her work, you''ll gain a greater understanding of the time and place she lived in, the rich traditions of medieval mysticism, and the pressing issues of her day. You''ll also explore how Julian responded to these topics in the moving language and vivid images of her mystical writings. You''ll come away with a sense of how this unique woman reaches across the centuries to speak to us today. As you will learn, Julian has much to tell us about the issues that concern us now, and to reassure us that indeed, all will be well.

Let the timeless wisdom of Julian of Norwich speak to your heart today.
