Urban Rivals

It takes two to tango. Jericho “Echo” Frost can copy any spell he sees. His arcane duplication makes him popular with those who can afford his mimicking magic (and tolerate his motor mouth). Theodore Morrow is a top Occultech field agent, tasked to collect enchanted objects for the mysterious corporation’s stock. His magical scrolls make him the perfect partner, doubling Echo’s firepower. There’s just one problem: they absolutely cannot stand each other. When enchanted objects go dangerously haywire in the city, the director of Occultech forces them on a mission.

Echo and Morrow can’t catch a break. A new jewelry shop is all the rage in town, selling cute collectible charms that mesmerize anyone who wears them. It's a familiar and potentially volatile flavor of magical mind control. They should have eliminated the Goddess of the Valley when they had the chance. Echo has enough problems with goddesses to begin with. Freyja keeps following him around, tempting him with forbidden knowledge. A magical education, but at what cost? And Morrow is being far too friendly these days. Echo’s straitlaced partner might not be so straight, after all.
