How do you solve a murder when you're trying to cover one up?

On a bright Wednesday afternoon in St Agnes-on-Stewe, a body is found in a lake. The story of how it got there depends on who you ask.

New arrival, Lara, is looking for a fresh start in 'the most tranquil town in England'. Instead, she quickly becomes involved with a group of warm-hearted, yet strangely suspicious locals who set out to become amateur detectives.

Their decision to investigate might be about justice — or about protecting something else entirely. Because they have a body on their hands. And solving this crime might allow them to cover up their own. Will they figure out who is responsible for the body in the water? Will you be able to piece it together yourself?

A Bad Day to Hide a Body is the gripping, charming and hilarious mystery about dead bodies, old secrets, and new friends. From the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Four.
