The Purgatory Journals

Chaos Gods あらすじ・解説

Chaos Gods-The Purgatory Journals-Book One.

Braldt Lioncastle was already at rock bottom. A disgraced ex-cop. A bar bouncer. Separated from his wife. Living in a barn. Then he woke up dead.

Judged unfit for both Heaven and Hell, Braldt's soul is sentenced to Purgatory—a brutal prison-world ruled by eight Chaos Gods, where ancient magic reigns, time fractures without warning, and legends walk, bleed, and kill.

Dragons soar. Demons bargain. Vampires hunt. Historical heroes clash beneath gods who treat mortal lives as expendable pieces in an endless game.

In Purgatory, death is not an escape. When you die, you wake up in your tomb—only to fight, suffer, and die again. Over and over. The only hope of moving on is earning Enlightenment, one violent trial at a time.

But something has changed. True death—the destruction of the soul itself—is no longer myth.

It's happening.

And the Chaos Gods are no longer just watching.

Outmatched, outgunned, and painfully human, Braldt must find allies among monsters, warriors, and broken legends—or be erased forever in a world where dying was never supposed to be permanent.

Welcome to Purgatory. Survival is optional. Your soul is not.
