The Love Letters

I’m the businessman everyone wants to be and the man every woman wants to tie down. They say I reek of old money and I’m sexy as sin. I’m not looking for love but when Hadlea Lloyd books me to renovate her new place, all I can think about is becoming a sinner. She's hotter than hell and tough as nails.

I told myself I'd never allow this to happen. All I wanted was some fun. I never expected that meeting her would turn my life upside down.

Change. It's change and how well you handle it which defines a person. Three times in my life, I have been faced with such changes. Once when I was 14. Again, at 18. And now again at 28.

Have you ever wanted to go back? I’ve contemplated it every day, for the last six years. Knowing that once I did, I’d wreck everything all over again, but still - I dream. Until last night. My past came back to me. As I finished my set, looking through the smoke and flashing lights, I see him. The wreckage still written on Chord’s face tells me hell’s coming.

You know that old saying…. He's the next big thing. Yeah, that was me. I was a rising star, and I couldn't have been happier. Fame, money, women at every turn. I had it all, until the day my world came crashing in. I never fathomed this would be my life. But here I am, a single dad at 28, and I have no clue what I'm doing. I pray every day I'm giving her the best life, 'cause it's the only one I know. The minute I had lost everything and had nothing left to give. Charlee showed up.

One night, that’s all this was supposed to be. I came to Sin City with my best friend to celebrate my much-needed divorce. For once, I want to be the one with no care about tomorrow. That’s when he catches my eye. I watch as he works the room and the women in it. He’s everything I hate in a man, but the epitome of what we all want. Sexy, confident to a fault, and a smirk that will melt your panties.

A love of a lifetime is hard to come by these days. We all chase that ever-elusive happily-ever-after. But when that love is written in the stars, you’ll find yourself falling faster than a comet from the sky. Valentine’s Day shouldn’t be just one day—love should be celebrated forever and always. No simple roses or violets will do; my special someone deserves the stars and the moon, too. A compilation of love letters from my alphas to the loves of their lives.
