Tales from the Volsunga Saga あらすじ・解説

Before THE LORD OF THE RINGS, there was THE VÖLSUNGA SAGA. Discover the ancient Norse legend that helped inspire the world of J.R.R. Tolkien in this epic modern retelling of one of the greatest sagas of Viking mythology. Born from the bloodline of Odin himself, the legendary Völsung dynasty is destined for a world of vengeance, betrayal, cursed treasure, and bloody battle. Journey into the brutal world of ancient Scandinavia. Meet mythical heroes like Sigmund, wielder of Gram, Signý the avenger, and Sigurd the Dragonslayer. First recorded in medieval Iceland around 1250 AD, the Völsunga Saga preserves an ancient cycle of Norse and Germanic heroic legends that would go on to influence some of the greatest works of fantasy literature.
