Nick Gateon is the son of the world's greatest supervillain, and if he's going to make it in Valcav Academy for the Superhumanly Gifted, he's going to need a plan to become a hero.

Twelve super powered schools. Three devastating events. Only one winner. The World's Finest tournament is coming, and with it comes the chance to truly show the world what you're made of. There's just one problem: for Nick and the rest of Valcav Academy to win, they'll not only have to work together but defeat a new challenger unlike any they have ever seen. And worse? Lord Inferno has entered his own team, and he's more determined than ever to bring Nick over to his side, even if he has to kill everyone at Valcav to do it.

Riding on the high of success after last semester, it looks like Nick’s path through Valcav Academy to become the world’s greatest superhero is clear. But the life of a superhero-in-training is always changing. When it’s announced that the academy is doing an exchange program with Lord Inferno’s own school, everything at Valcav gets turned upside down, especially when Nick’s world-conquering father joins the Valcav staff. Still, it’s nothing Nick can’t handle.

With the defeat of the Triple Triad and the aftermath of their attack on Valcav, it's time for Nick and his classmates to start a new semester on Inferno Island with a show of solidarity and peace: A parade. But when a long-lost hero comes back with his army of robotic penguins to kill Nick’s father, any hope for peace is thrown on its head. If that wasn't all, Carter Academy and its villainous students are about to unleash a diabolical plan unlike any the world has ever seen.

The Carter villain school has fled into space and joined forces with the Mad King of New Sahana, but Nick and his fellow heroes-in-training won't let them get away. It's a superpowered battle among the stars, and the stakes have never been higher. But when Nick and his team arrive on New Sahana, nothing could prepare them for what they find. Super-charged genocidal soldiers would be one thing, but nothing could prepare them for alien ghosts, a growing blight, and worst of all, a threat from within that threatens to tear the team of heroes apart.
