Reverse Harem Chronicles

A few months ago my life depended on a few seconds - and on three firemen who saved my ass. I owe them, big time. And I would do anything to show them just how grateful I am for this new me. Because, since the accident, I have been different.

My biggest fear of rejection is tiny compared to the one I'm facing now. I came here to please my firemen, but reality is so different than my dreams. Dreams are safe - in reality, you can get hurt. And I will most definitely get hurt doing this. Sliding down the pole sounds easy, right? Well, think again. Unfortunately, I'm not talking about one of three certain poles, either. At least not yet anyway. Now, I need to deliver on my promise and thank my three firemen the proper way. 

Before, I always managed to slip through the fingers of justice, but now I am in the spotlight. I put myself there. And when there is nowhere to hide, the three policemen who wanted to arrest me in the past are now out to get me. And not in the way I imagined, either. Okay, maybe exactly the way I imagined it. And the scary part is that every part of me wants them to succeed. 

There is a funny thing about being tied up and spread out like a Thanksgiving turkey. As your limbs go numb, your senses come alive. Time slows to a complete halt, and everything else ceases to exist. All there is now is me and my three policemen. They have brought me here to teach me a lesson about what I truly want. The only problem with that is that I want it all. And although I haven't been the best candidate for the police job so far, I can still prove myself. In more ways than one, by the looks of it...

Living in the big city was a big dream of mine, but it didn't turn out the way I planned. Instead of fame, wealth and security, I have been scraping together for the bare minimum for the past three years. But tonight, my luck is changing. What I need to do for it can be easily forgotten after, I hope. Nothing I wouldn't already do for free anyway, so why not get paid for it, right? The deal is to accompany a rich guy to a fancy party and be eye-candy. Simple and easy. 

Naked sushi and a game of guess the food. What could go wrong? Yes, that's right: everything. I know I should have read their contract, but I was too distracted by the idea of what they had to offer. And now, with an unwanted audience in tow, I need to guess the food they pop into my mouth. Sounds simple, right? Guess again.

A secret I pushed to the back of my mind is now threatening to ruin my future. A mysterious phone call, an anonymous tip, and my trip from paradise turns into a living hell. Alec won't talk to me, yet he claims every bit I have left. Piece by piece, my world is shattered, along with my confidence. If I could only figure out a way for him to believe that I didn't have a choice... If I could only make him see the real me.
