Plum Ridge

A city girl with a crumbling bookstore. A grumpy contractor determined to protect his towns history. And a box of old secrets that changes everything. Maya Vance had a plan for everything. Or she did, until she lost her elite event-planning career in Atlanta and inherited her grandmothers struggling mountain bookstore. Moving to the misty town of Plum Ridge, Tennessee, was supposed to be temporary: fix the business, protect what she could, and leave before the town got too close. Then came the roof leak. The empty bank account. The rare books in danger. And Garrett Hayes. Garrett is a stubborn historical restoration contractor who would rather work in silence than trust a fast-talking city outsider with his hometowns legacy. But when disaster threatens The Broken Quill Bookstore, Maya and Garrett strike an uneasy bargain: she will use her event-planning skills to rescue Plum Ridges Autumn Festival, and he will help save the bookstore before it is too late. Forced into close quarters, their sharp-edged partnership begins to soften into something neither of them expected. But when a hidden cache of old love letters from the towns founders is discovered inside the bookstore wall, Maya and Garrett uncover a story that may change not only the future of The Broken Quill, but their own hearts as well. The Broken Quill is a sweet, heartwarming, slow-burn small-town romance filled with cozy autumn atmosphere, found family, hidden history, and a grumpy contractor who may not be as guarded as he seems. Book One in the Plum Ridge Series.
