Pearly Gates

Deceased drag queen Pearly Gates has the worst job in the afterlife: cosmic sanitation worker. When her soulmate leaves her, claiming she’s incapable of growth, Pearly hatches a plan to win him back. By striking an illicit deal to take over the caseload of a burnt-out spirit guide, she’ll prove she’s worthy of love—and redemption.

The afterlife’s sassiest spirit guide is about to slay Paris. All she has to do is wrangle a few wayward souls—including her own. Fresh off a solo incarnation where she mastered independence a little too well, spirit guide Pearly Gates is trying to follow the rules—or at least appear like she is. But when her first official charges—a prickly retiree, a guilt-ridden widower with a closeted grandson, and a young woman for whom romance has never quite clicked—hit a spiritual dead end, Pearly makes a bold move. She nudges them into a group tour of the City of Love… then tags along in disguise.

She’s the unstoppable Holiday Spirit. He’s a reluctant Hot Santa. Saving Christmas just got complicated. Spirit guide Pearly Gates has shared countless lives—and holidays—with her soulmate, Thunder. But after he misses their annual holidate and is placed on mandatory leave for burnout, even their timeless romance could use a little Christmas magic. Then Pearly’s sent to Bellhaven, where a grieving high school principal has canceled the beloved holiday musical once directed by his late husband.
