When I was injured on my last deployment, I thought moving back to Night Grove Falls was the worst thing to ever happen to me. Then I learn about the danger here in town and realize that my pack needs me and my skills now more than ever. So, I take over running the Midnight Haven, a rescue group here in town. I’m expecting to handle threats, to maybe have to get my hands dirty. What I’m not expecting is to find my fated mate.

I joined the Midnight Hven as a favor to my friend. My pack needs me, and that’s how I find myself sneaking through the woods in the middle of the night. That’s when I see them take her. I know two things in that moment. The first is that I will do whatever I can to rescue the kidnapped girl. The second is that I just found my fated mate.

I prefer to be left alone. I spend my days at my cabin, working, and that’s the way I like it. Until Vivian stumbles onto my land and collapses at my feet. It takes me a second to realize that I’ve just found my fated mate, and another second to realize that she’s in danger. So, I do the logical thing and bring her inside. I call the Midnight Haven for help and watch over her while she’s treated. She’s still in danger, though, and my bear and I will do anything to protect our mate. Now that we’ve found her, we’ll never let her go. We just need to figure out a way to tell Vivian that.

I made it through one deployment before I injured and discharged. Now I’m back in Night Grove Falls and trying to figure out what to do with my life. The Midnight Haven has helped give me purpose, but there’s still something missing. Or someone. When Daisy runs into me when I’m out on patrol, I know that I’ve just found my missing piece. She’s running from the law, so I take her home where I can keep her safe. I know that I’m harboring a fugitive, but that’s not going to stop me from keeping my mate here with me.

He rescued her, and now he’s going to claim her as his. Reyes When I get the call from the Midnight Haven, that we have someone asking for help, I assume that it’s going to be like every other rescue. Until I get there and see just who we’re saving. Taylor. She’s curvy and beautiful, but that’s not what has my mouth watering. It’s the fact that she’s mine. Now that I’ve found my fated mate, I have to do a few things. First, get her to safety. Second, tell her about shifters and fated mates. And third, convince her that she’s meant to be mine.

I’m out for a run one night when someone comes crashing through the brush and runs right into me. It takes me a millisecond to realize that I’ve just found my fated mate, and another second after that to realize that the first time we met shouldn’t have been when I was in my wolf form. She faints, and I carry her home, practicing what I’ll say to her as I go.
