When Yasmin returned to Canary Bay, she was desperate for things in her life to change. After raising her younger sister for most of her teenage years, Yasmin was just trying to get through the year.

The plan was simple: Spend time as much time as possible with Millie. Get accepted into New Hope University. Read as many books as she could.

Chase and his friends are pretty much family. Each have their own pasts and struggles, but they will always look out for each other, protect each other, and don't easily let people into their circle.

When Yasmin shows up on his driveway at 6am wearing princess pajamas and blurting out "Are you a serial killer?" Chase doesn't know what to think or understand why he is drawn to her.

The attraction is instant. He can see the pain in her eyes and recognizes the wall she's built around herself. He knows he'd do anything to protect her. Surprisingly, his friends feel the same way when they meet her.
