Mermaid Curse

Seventeen-year-old Marei lives on Alabaster Island, a remote tropical isle inhabited by twenty-one families. Nobody under the age of eighteen has ever left to visit the mainland. The island and its strange customs are all that Marei and her friends know. For years, Marei dreaded The Binding. On that day, each teen must write his or her choice of life mate. But with her childhood sweetheart drowned long ago, Marei has no boy in mind. And so she leaves her paper blank. This sets off a chain of events that ruptures the bedrock of her life and leads her to question the only home she's ever had.

Alysa Grey has no memory of the boating accident that almost drowned her. Meanwhile, her twin sister was never found, and Hawaii search and rescue gave up long ago. Yet, she feels certain her sister lives.

To survive she must defeat the evil hidden beneath the city's charming canals... Allie loved being near the water. Even before she found out she had mermaid genes, seawater soothed her soul. Adria, with its miles of winding canals, should have been heaven. Exploring the city of serenading gondoliers with her boyfriend, Nate, could have been the romance-filled trip of a lifetime. But this is no dream vacation. Allie is desperate to find her mom who she holds responsible for the death of her twin sister. Amid the distractions of the most romantic city in Europe, Allie and her friends lose focus.

Awakening alone in a Hawaiian emergency room, Allie faces questions she can't answer. Discovered half-conscious, naked, and abandoned at a desolate dock, she pieces together the puzzle that is now her life. Where is her ID? What is the mysterious illness that threatens her?

Seventeen-year-old Delphin has learned to play by the rules. Rules keep life simple. Rules make life easy. Most importantly, rules protect him from the pod’s tyrant leader, who also happens to be his father.
