Lora Weaver Mystery Series

Lora Weaver is having a bad day. She’s just come from another failed job interview after her recent move from New York to Montréal left her scrambling for work. She’s discouraged, nearly broke, and the dress she wore to impress is wilting in the sizzling summer heat. When she takes refuge in an adorable crowded café to de-stress with her prized Jane Austen novel, she encounters a handsome stranger. A stranger who sets to scribbling secrets in a journal mere inches away from her croissant and mochaccino glacé. Secrets she has no business knowing.

A deadbeat dad, a French flirt, and a meddling ex. Lora Weaver's new life is in for a bumpy start! Lora Weaver follows romance from New York to Montréal expecting to find a touch of Paris in North America—cobblestone streets, sidewalk cafés, fabulous shopping, and a little joie de vivre. Not dangerous liaisons. But, when she takes a job at a PI agency owned by a French brother and sister team, her life takes on more twists and turns than a Cirque du Soleil show.

It’s three days before Christmas, and Lora Weaver is hefting a body into the trunk of a car. Not exactly how she expected to be spending her first French holiday. But who said playing elf with best friend Camille Caron was going to be easy?

Rookie PI Lora Weaver is on her first undercover case sporting a fake name, a fake fiancé, and dance shoes for lessons that leave her trembling on her two left feet. When a fellow dance student keels over at Lora's heels on the first night of class, the identity theft case she signed on for ramps up from sketchy to deadly.

It’s Valentine’s night and rookie PI Lora Weaver is on a case, dining at a secluded château, peering over her menu at another woman’s husband. The man is tall, dark, and handsome. And sitting three tables away playing footsie with a redhead ten years his junior. Lora’s job is to report back to the man’s wife about said goings on. A routine case, her dashing French ex-cop-turned-PI boss and faux date for the evening, Laurent, assures her.

For Lora Weaver, PI training is a snap. Literally. Her task is to snap a picture proving some sap is defrauding an insurance company on a disability claim. Easy peasy. Until that snap sets a whirlwind in motion that lands Lora at the picturesque Vieux Port dodging a kingpin crook dubbed Penguin and hoping she doesn't end up swimming with the fishes. On her way to becoming a full-fledged PI, Lora takes on the case of suspected insurance scammer Johnny—a warehouse worker currently collecting pretty cash and about to wed a pretty wife.

It's almost Easter. Time for bunnies, bonnets, and bonbons. Not bedlam. Unless you're Lora Weaver, that is. With the scent of spring in the air and the promise of a long weekend looming, Lora is looking forward to a few days relaxing with her beau Adam, taking long walks and short naps snuggled together in the warm glow of Easter chocolate wrappers. Funny, fast-paced, and sprinkled with romance and family hijinks, The Easter Egg Ennui is a cozy holiday novella from The Lora Weaver series of rom-com mysteries with a splash of French charm.

Lora Weaver is throwing her first New Year’s bash in her new digs, and she wants everything to be perfect. She’s planned every detail from the food to the decorations. But what she didn’t plan on was trouble. Just one hour before the New Year is set to ring in, Lora stumbles across a mystery that may just take the fizzle out of the case of champagne she’s bought for the night’s festivities.

Newbie PI Lora Weaver is squirming in her seat trying to avoid temptation. She's on a stakeout in front of Petit-Four, the cutest pastry shop ever, watching as pastries parade by in the window on what's otherwise the most boring stakeout ever. She's hungry. She's cramped. And she can barely keep her eyes open. She also can't leave. C&C, the PI agency Lora works for has been hired to help in a dodgy divorce case, and it's Lora's job to find out what else their client's soon-to-be ex, Sloan Potts, has been playing at hiding besides his salami.
