Meet Diana Bakewell. She runs tours of London aboard a vintage Routemaster bus, and is the city's best connected tour guide. But she has an uncanny habit of finding herself in the middle of murder cases. Along with her colleague Zaf (from the Detective Zoe Finch books) and stowaway cat Gus, follow her adventures as she and the team solve a series of twisty mysteries. Will Diana and Zaf solve the case before the police do?

As the lead guide at Chartwell and Crouch Tours, she’s busy teaching her young assistant Zaf the ropes alongside dealing with company politics and her slimy boss. In her spare time she’s helping Zaf find his feet in London and coming to terms with the fact that a tabby cat called Gus has stowed away on her vintage tour bus. But when Diana and Zaf take a group of students on a tour of the Houses of Parliament and an MP's researcher dies, Diana suspects all is not as it seems. The police are at a loss. They interview witnesses, including Diana’s tour group, but seem to be getting nowhere.

Diana Bakewell is getting used to some changes at Chartwell and Crouch London Bus Tours. She’s rubbing along with Zaf, now her flatmate as well as her colleague. The tour guide team loves having Gus the cat as its newest member. And they're recovering from the shock of witnessing—and solving—a murder at the Houses of Parliament. But then another killer strikes.

Fresh from solving not one but two murders at London landmarks, tour guide Diana Bakewell is apprehensive when a typo forces her to take two groups on two very different tours. The first group are bridge afficionados, in London to cram in as many bridges as they can cross in Chartwell and Crouch’s vintage Routemaster bus. The second is a group of Bridget Jones fans keen to explore the locations from the book and films. But then as they’re crossing the iconic Tower Bridge, a mysterious death plunges both groups into chaos. How did the victim get onto the top deck of the bus?

Diana Bakewell and Zaf Williams are cementing their reputations as London's best tour guides. They've also learned that they're not bad at solving mysteries. But when Kamran Dadashov, the father of Zaf's new boyfriend, hires them for a tour, they know they need to pull out all the stops. The group consists of three wealthy men, old friends and occasional rivals. They aren't just seeing London's sights: there's a challenge, involving a race, postcards, and an egg sandwich.

Fresh from solving a spate of murder mysteries, Diana Bakewell and Zaf Williams are separated when Zaf goes on a course to gain his qualification as a tour guide. The course is at London's iconic St Paul's Cathedral, which Zaf is expected to get to know so he can be tested on his tour guide abilities. Meanwhile, Diana is forced from her wonderful London home by her unscrupulous landlord. But all this has to be put aside when a resident at a local hostel is found dead, apparently poisoned.

Without access to their beloved Routemaster buses, Diana and Zaf are hopeful that they can attract business to Chartwell and Crouch tours by hosting tours of the studio. And Diana has the connections to make it happen... But then on a tour of the studio, they hear disturbing noises from a recording booth. And moments later, an old friend of Diana's is found dead.
