It was supposed to be a normal night in Pentor.

For nine years, Victor Tornell and his wife Tina have lived a quiet, contented life. Victor is one of the Dragoes, humans gifted with the spark of magic from the goddess of wisdom. He is a warrior, but tonight, his only mission is getting his five-year-old son, Koh, to bed.

When one of Victor's magical alerts activates, their peace is shattered.
