Imagine you could ask God your most troubling questions about existence and get clear answers in return? That’s what happened to author Neale Donald Walsch.

In the early 1990s, Walsch felt like he was going nowhere fast. Alone, unemployed and in deep depression. He was forced to live in a tent in Oregon, collecting and recycling aluminium cans in order to eat. One day he wrote an angry letter to God...and God answered back.

Since 1995, Walsch has written best-selling books about these conversations with his creator. In them, he challenges people to change their minds about God. Instead of judgement, punishment and condemnation, God wants us to express our own true nature and divinity, Walsch says.

In this audiobook series, Walsch speaks as himself and the voices of God are read by Academy Award-winning actress Ellen Burstyn and acclaimed actor Edward Asner. The trio introduce a God who is loving, understanding of weakness and – most importantly – easy to talk with. Relying on a conversational style, the messages of love and tolerance hit home even harder and make for a potentially deep spiritual experience. 

His Conversations with God series has become a publishing phenomenon, having been translated into 37 languages to a devoted audience. The CWG Foundation is just one of the many organisations that has used the book as an inspiration 'to do something tangible to spread the message of Conversations with God' through retreats and a programme of religious activities.

In a 2006 film adaptation, Walsch is played by Canadian actor Henry Czerny.
