Case of the Dirty Dog

Former NYPD detective Rami Sloeinski inherited a private investigation agency he isn't sure he wants. Former Federal Law Enforcement Training Center instructor Keisha Prado has the skills to solve almost any case, but most of the clients who walk through her door are looking for cheating husbands and missing child support payments.

What they both need are better clients.

What they get is a missing championship dog wearing a diamond-studded collar.

Hired to locate an award-winning show dog that has vanished without a trace, the newly formed Prado Sloe Investigations hopes the case will be exactly what they need to put their agency on the map. Instead, they find themselves chasing clues through Augusta, Georgia, where Southern charm often hides inconvenient truths.

Between suspicious owners, eccentric clients, unpaid bills, and a handyman who seems determined to become part of the team whether anyone hires him or not, Rami and Keisha quickly discover that even a simple missing dog case can lead to unexpected complications.

But while they're busy searching for a dirty white dog, another mystery is quietly taking shape in the background.

A local waitress named Portia has disappeared.

Nobody seems particularly concerned.

Rami is.

The Dirty Dog is the first case in the Prado Sloe Investigations series—a witty Southern noir mystery featuring memorable characters, slow-burn chemistry, humor, and a city full of secrets waiting to be uncovered.

Because sometimes finding the dog is only the beginning.
