Travelling Detective

'Leitch’s writing had me snorting with laughter and whizzing through the pages!' Clare Chase, author of the Eve Mallow Mysteries

'Murder and mayhem are rarely this enjoyable’ Jonathan Whitelaw

The first in a brand-new series, The Paris Poisoning is a witty, deliciously twisty and utterly charming cozy mystery set against the sun-drenched backdrop of the French capital.

Retired detective Claire Crossland has a plan: pack an embarrassingly large suitcase and go on a solo adventure across Europe.

First stop: Paris, where her sister Helen and wife Celeste are waiting with good wine, better cheese and – it turns out – a crisis! The night of Celeste’s glamorous gallery opening a priceless painting vanishes without a trace, and Helen wants Claire to investigate discreetly.

Was it a staff member looking for easy money? An ominous activist collective taking their movement too far? Or someone much more dangerous lurking behind the scenes?

Unofficially, with no jurisdiction and with the help of devastatingly charming French Europol contractor Vincent Boucher, Claire must navigate the glittering but treacherous Parisian art world, a city full of suspects and masterpieces worth killing for.

A new series launch that will have you booking flights and turning pages in equal measure! For fans of Donna Leon, Ian Moore, Tom Hindle, Richard Osman and J.M. Hall.
