Speglara

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice.
King Chicko needs a fresh Holy Banana. He would also like Gibberish to be somewhere else. A royal quest seems an excellent way to arrange both.

Gibberish is delighted. At last, a chance to prove himself, earn a reward and become someone important. His spectacular bad luck ought to be a minor inconvenience. After all, how difficult can it be to find a piece of fruit?

He has no boat, no useful map and very little idea where to start. The knights have all gone on holiday. The people offering help generally want something, and the companions he picks up bring difficulties he could never have managed on his own.

Before long, Gibberish is crossing sweet seas and dealing with pirates, dubious magic and a growing suspicion that somebody is making this unnecessarily difficult. The author, when approached, is unhelpful.

The Hunt for the Holy Banana opens Johan Edfeldt’s Speglara series, a comic fantasy adventure for listeners who enjoy dry wit, absurd predicaments and a hero worth rooting for, preferably from a safe distance.
