Angels

In an eternal paradise, the most beautiful angel, Lucifer, struggles with shame, identity, and timidity, with little more than the desire to worship his creator. It isn't until the strongest angel, Michael, comes into his life that Lucifer learns to love himself. Along the way, their friendship begins to bloom into something else. Maybe the first romance in the history of everything. But this God is a jealous one, and maybe paradise is not paradise.

The angel Azazel is miserable in Heaven. In the aftermath of Satan's fall, the angels live in the reconstructed ruins of an old utopia, oppressive and paranoid of any new rebellion. The angel Samyaza is content in Heaven, but he longs for the eternal city's former glory. Watching the feeble humans below, wallowing in sin for centuries after Adam and Eve, he sees opportunity to earn back the Lord's favor. On Earth, the Watcher angels arrive to lecture on God's love, but the love of a human soon begins to seem much warmer.

The fallen angel of fruit Rosier lives among cold caves and fiery demons with a soft heart succumbing to comfortable misery. He shares a bed with the monster who'd been his most beloved friend in Heaven, captive now to a beastly body of eternal rot. If there is any love left between them, it's surely a ghost fading with each daybreak. But when the devil commands Rosier to have the Earth bloom with its first fruits—Rosier must confront whether there is really any life after falling from paradise and whether there is really any solace in abandoning all hope.

The angel Dina is both young and ancient, every human epoch breezing past his home in Heaven as he waits for the end times. When the archangel Uriel reveals the truth about God's first creations, however—Dina ventures out to find a beautiful, seductive star who urges him to bring about the apocalypse for the sake of destroying evil once and for all. Lovesick, Dina agrees.
