Adventures of Blue Faust Series

Blue Faust considers herself a regular girl. A little shy, maybe, and a smidge isolated. But she's got a plan for that, and a list. When she and her mother move to a new city, she implements it. This will be The Year of New Things, and there will be adventures. Little does she know just how right she is.  While out hiking one day with new friends, she finds herself in a strange world. Confronted with kidnappers, stubborn beast-mounts, advanced technology, and killer crystals, she has to somehow find a way to get everyone home. 

Blue was ready to start her new life, but unfinished business could be the death of her.... For Blue and Forrest, making it back to Karran was the easy part. They were prepared to learn a new language, new customs and tackle a new kind of relationship. When Blue's reunion with Mo'ata is marred by unfinished business, she has a decision to make: proceed with her original plan and attend classes at the Ministry's Academy, or set herself up as bait for a madman. Phillip is still out there, still using that crystal, still killing.  

Blue Faust is trapped, and there are no good choices. Does she remain on Padilra, giving up her own dreams, or rebel and risk starting a war? How is a person supposed to make a choice like that anyway? Forrest and Mo'ata are by her side, of course, and the others insist on accompanying her as well. She'll need to learn to navigate the politics of an entire Alliance, as well as the culture of a people who have isolated themselves for a very good reason. And what do you do when you find out that the monster you are guarding isn't the scariest thing around you?
