Beneath the crystal-clear water lies the body of a young woman. Local police ask Miles to lend his experience to the investigation. Then they make an arrest. The case may be closed as far as they're concerned, but Miles isn't convinced. The evidence is too convenient, the unanswered questions too troubling, and the detective they welcomed into the case is suddenly being told to back off.
