The Wizard left without her, then Glinda says she could have gone home at any time (thanks to those powerful shoes); Dorothy finally realizes she’s been lied to, manipulated, and used as a political assassin.

The result: Dorothy’s anger triggers her magical awakening—in short, she “goes all Carrie” with a never-before-seen magical act: the use of all four elements (fire, water, earth, and air).
