Aufeinmal kommt ein Wind auf und der Kirschbaum über ihnen scheint sich zu drehen, wie ein großes Windrad, immer schneller und schneller, und bringt die beiden Mädchen schließlich ins Wunderland zurück. Hier begegnet Alice nach langer Zeit dem Hutmacher wieder, der ihr dabei hilft, ihren verwundeten Löwen zu heilen. Für Edith hat er einen ganz besonderen Luftballon aus Glitzer.
