In "A Warm Pillow for the Soul: Stories of Post-Traumatic Wisdom," Derrick Loyd guides listeners through his transformative journey from trauma to healing. Growing up in Gary, Indiana, Derrick faced profound challenges, including childhood abuse, a devastating family tragedy, and the late discovery of a son he never knew existed. These adversities forged his resilience and deep understanding of forgiveness.

In Instilling Hope in Healthcare, seasoned physical therapist and clinic owner Tom Loyd, MPT invites you to rediscover the heart of healing. With over two decades in outpatient orthopedics, Loyd understands the strain providers face—burnout, pressure for productivity, and disconnection from the “why” behind the work.

In King Biscuit, Michael Loyd Gray returns once again to the fictional small town of Argus, Illinois, (the setting of his novels Well Deserved, Not Famous Anymore, and The Last Stop), to tell a coming-of-age story set in 1966. With the Vietnam War hovering in the background. Seventeen-year-old Billy Ray Fleener, frustrated by the narrow confines of Argus, seeks adventure and a look at the wider world in a novel that puts him on a collision course with the famous as well as infamous.

The folks of Argus, Illinois, from the small-time dealer to the returning Vietnam vet, the townie grocery clerk and the new sheriff, all know what they want out of life, but the paths to their desires are conflicted and unclear. In a narrative with all the clarity and determination of a prophecy, Well Deserved chronicles the struggles of these four people as they come to the stark realization that their paths are not solitary, but entwined, and their very lives hinge on one shared moment.

Gavin could swear he heard maniacal laughter in the terrible and deadly twister outside the shelter they had miraculously found, but he knew it was probably his mind making up greasy thoughts as he came down from the sudden and awful rush of witnessing their impending death in the flashes of brightest lightning.... The Creator is missing from the Spiritual Realm. The Host of ArchAngels, those who are left, are besieged on all sides by an enemy they are only just beginning to understand. Another attack was to come, foreseen by the Father before He departed the Heavens.

Deeply influenced by his grandmother's faith and immersed in the fervent spirituality of his church—from fiery sermons to prayers spoken in tongues—author Scot Loyd once believed without question. But as he grew older, that belief began to shift. Confronted by the heavy demands of his religion, the racism that harmed his closest friend, and personal wounds too long ignored, he began to question the version of faith he had been given. The God I Was Given is the story of letting go and searching for something more—a faith that is wider, more honest, and rooted in love.
