Reveille Scholar Lectures: In 1970 Dr. Montgomery was the visiting Reveille Scholar at the University of California - San Diego. This set is comprised of the series of lectures in which he developed a Christian approach to the study of the philosophy of history. Where is History Going?: A critique of secular philosophers of history such as Marx, Spengler, and Toynbee, and presentation of a Christian philosophy of history.

This series is designed to help the lay Christian confidently proclaim and defend the faith. Too many Christians know "what" they believe, but not necessarily "why" they believe it. The information in this series will help the listener to "...always be ready to make a defense to every one who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you." (I Peter 3:15)

A classic debate between a Christian historian and theologian and a humanist on the historical evidence for Jesus. Dr. Montgomery is well known internationally for his lectures and writings on the historicity of Jesus and the reliability of the New Testament documents. He has set forth his case in books such as History and Christianity. Dr. G. A. Wells is also well known for his view that we have no reliable eyewitnesses to the events related in the New Testament.

In May, 1986, at the Court of Appeals in Athens, Dr. Montgomery successfully defended three evangelical missionaries who had been given three-and-a half year prison terms for "proselytizing". The President of the United States and many congressional leaders had written to the Greek government in support of the defendants.

This debate took place oi October 2008, sponsored by the Literary and Historical Society of University College Dublin. The proposition being debated was "that this house finds it irrational to believe in God". Dr. Montgomery and colleagues argued in support of the opposition. The audience of approximately 400 voted to defeat the proposition.

In 1987, Dr. Montgomery delivered the annual Pascal Lectures at the University of Waterloo. In clear, precise, and easy-to-understand language, he details why the inter-relationship between human rights and Christian theology is so critical. He explains why the justification for human rights can be founded only on a revelation that transcends human knowledge. He then provides reasons why Christians, on the basis of that revelation, should be keenly interested and active in human rights issues.

This course aims to help the student examine fundamental questions on the nature of the universe and human participation in it. Particular stress is placed on the answers offered by great thinkers through the ages. These answers are evaluated rationally, and in the light of Biblical revelation, in order to understand the principles of a Biblical worldview in comparison and contrast with other world views. This course will help you learn to articulate a reasoned defense of the philosophical foundations of a Biblical worldview.

In this lecture, Dr. Montgomery offers an in-depth analysis based both upon Scripture and upon the human rights record of modern Israel vis-à-vis the Palestinian problem and the Near East situation in general.
