Smarter is a near future sci-fi/thriller whose young heroine, Ell Donsaii, we learned in Quicker, has a nerve mutation that makes her an athletic phenomenon, so fast that no one can keep up with her. Like Stieg Larsson's Lisbeth Salander (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), Ell is a mathematical genius who, while trying to drift off to sleep, instead of counting sheep, has developed a new theory of quantum mechanics. At once shy and concerned about her social skills, yet loved by those around her, she goes to grad school to try to understand experimental physics.

Tiona, Vaz's daughter, is starting grad school in physics, has a "bad boy" musician boyfriend, and does her own strange variety of charity work at a homeless shelter. Her professor has her start work on a project to try to achieve high-temperature superconduction by doping the graphene membranes her lab partner has figured out how to precipitate.

> Disc picks up right after Vaz and Tiona's invention of an apparently reactionless drive in Tiona. Tiona and her brother, Dante, want to license the rights to the new thrusters to big aircraft and car companies, using the money from the licenses to develop a private space industry. Vaz, their scientifically brilliant but socially inept father, has little interest in such a project but is happy to have them run with it. So they set out to convince doubtful major corporations that thrusters will change the world as we know it.

Vaz is the story of Vaz Gettnor, a socially impaired yet scientifically brilliant man. Despite his inability to relate to others, Lisanne married him in admiration of what she perceived as shy intelligence. However, she's been disappointed by the way he's settled for working as no more than a glorified lab tech with a low salary.

This is the tale of Myr Sevii, a young woman who discovers a field that suppresses static electrical effects and warps space in a fashion that attracts protons. It's a hard science fiction exploration of what might happen if you were able to pull protons into a tiny volume and - having suppressed static repulsion - crush them together. The story examines how this new discovery affects Myr and will soon affect the world around her.

In Radiation Hazard, Kaem and company are commercially developing “stade”, a piece of space-time that’s in stasis. Its phenomenal properties allow it to reflect all radiation, so when a nearby nuclear reactor undergoes a meltdown, the first thought is that stade might be used to limit the radioactivity from the accident. In Halting the Reaper, Kaem has been treated with gene therapy for the anemias that have made him so weak. In combination with his extraordinary memory, his newfound physical fitness is letting him perform at a high level in a karate class.

Contains books one and two of The Stasis Stories: A Pause in Space-Time (Book 1) and The Thunder of Engines (Book 2). Kaem Seba is a sickly and financially destitute young man with extraordinary math skills. With the help of Arya Vaii, a business student, he has developed a theory and an electronic device that allows him to stop time within limited volumes of space-time.

The company that Arya Vaii and Gunnar Schmidt founded to commercially develop Arya's time-stopping discovery is making money hand over fist. Currently, their profits come from their use of the phenomenal physical properties of a time-stopped segment of space-time to build rockets. But now, they’re building their space tower. Taking off at a 30-degree angle from Eastern Virginia, it’s 200 kilometers long and 100 kilometers high.

But she can find gold there in the same locations that history tells her they found it on Earth.

Jack Varga is falling for Ryn Wilkie, a young surgeon who can jump to parallel worlds. Jack would like to have a serious relationship with her, but he might be too much in awe for her to take him seriously. He has his own secret though. Ryn's starting a patchwork surgical fellowship while continuing to try to help the people of Cearth, an Earth with the technological level of our late 1800s. She wants to improve the plight of women on that world - but is realizing that raising everyone's standard of living may do more for women than just trying to get them equal rights.

Their heroine, Ell Donsaii, has a nerve mutation that’s made her a genius and provided her with astonishing athletic abilities. Her intelligence has let her revolutionize our world with a number of inventions, including instantaneous communications and trans-dimensional portals that deliver fuel, water, food, energy, and people all around the solar system Antigravity is about a new invention that Ell and her husband, Shan, come up with.
