St. Gregory Palamas wrote the Triads, the foremost of his many theological works, to refute Barlaam the Calabrian's attacks upon the spiritual practices of the Athonite monks.

This is the third of a three-volume series. The Gospel according to Luke uniquely details an exchange between Christ and one of the thieves crucified with Him: "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom."
