Prakashananda distinguishes between the **outer consciousness**, occupied with sensation and the external world, and an **inner consciousness** that can be explored, disciplined, strengthened, and deliberately brought into greater awareness. According to Prakashananda, beneath ordinary mental noise are faculties capable of influencing **character, concentration, intuition, willpower, habits, perception, and the direction of your life**.

Upanishads came to be regarded as the teachings forming the concluding section of the Vedic corpus.

The Gospel of Thomas has been a flame of enlightenment in the world for almost 2,000 years. Once, almost extinguished, it has returned to us in ways most have never imagined. Today, the Gospel of Thomas leads us both spiritually and psychologically. In this work we will delve deeply into the spiritual and psychological meaning and application of each verse. We will gain a profound understanding of our nature and we will see how Gnosticism has influenced the development of modern psychology, under the hand of Carl G. Jung.

The search for wisdom has been the pole-star of humanity for 6,000 years. Religions have come and gone, philosophies have failed, but those surviving wells of wisdom go deep and yield sweet refreshment for the soul. Now, the greatest books of Eastern wisdom are brought together for the sake of those seeking the path of enlightenment and liberation.

In Your Word Is Your Wand, Florence Scovel Shinn takes one of the central ideas of New Thought and gives it unforgettable form: your spoken word carries creative power. Long before manifestation became a modern buzzword, Shinn was teaching readers to treat language as spiritual force. Speak fear, and you strengthen fear. Speak lack, and you rehearse limitation.

So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: And it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

Talking with thousands of Christians, we noticed many believers were unaware or didn’t understand the depth of the Bible’s wisdom or its secrets. After teaching for seven years, we realized many of these secrets were not known to people or they didn’t know the value of these fruitful lessons. We will try to explain these concepts to you so that you can understand them on a deep level to have a huge impact on your life.

Florence Scovel Shinn’s The Game of Life and How to Play It is one of the foundational classics behind today’s language of manifestation, Law of Attraction, affirmations, abundance, visualization, and spiritual success—but Shinn gives these ideas an unmistakably biblical and almost magical edge. Her premise is simple: Life is a game governed by spiritual laws. Learn the laws, and you can play differently. What you continually rehearse in your mind can begin shaping the life around you.

The search for wisdom has been the pole-star of humanity for 6,000 years. Religions have come and gone, philosophies have failed, but those surviving wells of wisdom go deep and yield sweet refreshment for the soul. Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Zen, and Eastern Christian writings have served as pathways to peace and enlightenment, but the path is not easily traveled. Wisdom is a harsh master, demanding authenticity and truth. No self-delusion or protection will be tolerated. The seeker must be spiritually eviscerated. Mind and soul must be laid bare.

Several schools of Zen developed in China in the 9th century. The Rinzai (Chinese, Lin-chi) sect of Zen was introduced to Japan by the Chinese priest Ensai in 1191. Rinzai Buddhism emphasizes the use of koans, paradoxical puzzles or questions that help the practitioner to overcome the normal boundaries of logic. Whatever the method of reaching enlightenment, once reached we realize the state of enlightenment we sought was there within us all along. The method is the gate, but there need not be any gate, since the gate is always open.

In The Education of Children from the Standpoint of Theosophy, Rudolf Steiner asks parents and educators to begin somewhere deeper than instruction: What is actually developing inside a child—and what does each stage of childhood need from us? Long before “whole-child education,” developmental learning, and child-centered classrooms became familiar language, Steiner argued that children should not simply be treated as smaller adults. They unfold.

Sihastrul: The Hermit is the first in a series that introduces the eponymous hero as an ambiguous character associated with the time before creation. A proto-human of sorts, with tiny wings in his forehead, the Hermit lives in a duration across time and space. We learn that at the moment of his birth, an angel fell and was captured in the newborn Hermit’s first breath, remaining trapped for an indiscernible length of time in his soul. Book one ends with the Hermit’s imminent death, whose dying breath gives the angel a way out.

The Gospel of Barnabas depicts the life of Jesus, claiming to be by Jesus' disciple, Barnabas. Two manuscripts are known to have existed, both dated to the late 16th century and written, respectively, in Italian and Spanish. The Spanish manuscript is now lost. The text now only exists in a partial 18th-century transcript.

There are some things in life no one tells you. Things that you figure out on your own through life experience, learning from others, or otherwise through seeking professional help. Universal experiences such as relationship breakups, facing rejection at school or at job interviews, betrayal by a friend or a lover, suffering financial loss, or falling seriously ill can be heartbreaking.

History has given us two separate and very different books by the same title. One of these may be the book mentioned in the Holy Bible. If so, it would reveal history and information which would augment and supplement our knowledge of the events from creation to the conquering of the Promised Land. The Books of Jasher includes details about the antediluvian patriarchs, the institution of the 10 Commandments, the establishment of the priesthood, angels, watchers, the flood, the tower of Babel, and many other events mentioned in the Bible.

The author of this audiobook a few years ago invented, patented, and successfully demonstrated in the city of Los Angeles, California, a mechanical device by which he transformed musical vibrations into “electrical” waves. These, when conveyed to the human organism, were found to be harmonizing, vitalizing, and curative, in many nervous and functional disorders. Further study and research along these lines convinced him that all vibration, motion, or activity is electrical.

Joseph and Aseneth is an epic story of love, desire, sanctification, and forgiveness. It is also a story of religious intolerance, racism, sexism, subterfuge, betrayal, and hate.

In this work, we shall regard as the true phenomena of psychomancy all the various phenomena known as psychometry; crystal gazing; perceiving distant scenes; a perception of past events and indication of future events; either in the full waking state; the state of reverie; or the state of dreams.
