Aliens. That's right. I said it. I know - it sounds stupid to me also. I'm a psychologist (sort of), so you'd think I'd be able to reason my way out of this mess. Except the reality is that I've been abducted to become their breeder, and it doesn't take an advanced degree to recognize this is all sorts of jacked up. But I digress. Apparently, these aliens are on the brink of extinction and need me and my fellow captives to repopulate. Yay us. I guess it's time to figure out an escape plan before they knock me up. I'll be back later. Hopefully.

I hate this place. Not that my life on Najarie was great, but at least I didn’t have a beastly alien trying to sex me up all the time. And when I say all the time, I mean all the freaking time. I haven’t forgotten Earth or the loved ones I’ve left behind. In fact, I’m willing to use any means necessary to get back to them. However, when the alien that claimed me offers to help in exchange for my body I find myself torn. Either I’m nothing more than a breeder to him or he’s trying to find a way to persuade me to stay. If that’s the case, his method is working.

I’ve been abducted. Twice. My situation with this new group of aliens has gone from bad to worse. I was with a bunch of elf-like aliens who had unparalleled technology, but now I’m in the midst of a group of primitive gargoyle aliens running around in loincloths. Which doesn’t hide much, let me tell you. There’s one gargoyle in particular who watches my every move, but what’s under his loincloth scares me more than his beastly appearance. To be sure we’re worthy to breed with, the savages have us each perform a rite of passage. And by that I mean a test of survival.

I have one task . . . to steal the dragon lord's magic. Simple. First problem: I'm inexperienced. Second problem: I have to sleep with him to get his abilities. (I probably should've led with that.) As the thrall of a vampire, I'm used to being subjected to another's will. So when they tell me to seek out the dragon lord, I do it to protect my sister's life. Except there are times when I think the savage is more of a danger than the master I left behind. It's not just his threats I fear, but his gentle touches and piercing glances.
