In the second novel of the 'Choosing to remember' series, Jerome Clarkson takes a swan dive into his past and the trauma he's carried for far too long. Jerome grew up in a very toxic and unloving environment, unable to escape the torture. His mother had him at just 13 and went on to have seven more children, that she took her frustrations out on constantly. Jerome was berated as child for being different and his mother often abused him because she believed that he was gay. From the moment his mother first beat him, Jerome felt the need to please his mother and prove her suspicions to be wrong.

She was a beloved teacher. A trusted guardian. A monster hiding in plain sight. From 1988 to 2009, Emily Cannister—kindergarten teacher, community favorite, and secret killer—kidnapped and murdered fifteen children. To the outside world, she was kind and nurturing. But behind closed doors, she was consumed by obsession, delusion, and a twisted longing to claim the children she could never have. In 2012, during her third murder trial, Emily confessed. But her admission raised more questions than it answered.

Criminal Plague deeply dives into who Michelle Hartmann is, what she's done, how it all happened and why she became the woman she is today. The story of an unapologetic, merciless, privileged and now disgraced lawyer.
