Magpie Maggie has finally settled in to her new role as owner of the Longhorn Trucking Company and things are rolling along smoothly until suddenly a last minute haul sends her scrambling to make a delivery out of state. With her boyfriend unavailable, she drags her sweet pup Desiree and her best friend Trudy along for a road trip. Of course, things are never smooth sailing with Maggie.

Zadie Belle Sanders and her two sisters Darla Belle and May Belle can't wait to get out of town and leave behind the recent barrage of bodies in their usually quiet hometown of Riverbend Junction in the Arkansas Mountains. Hawaii holds exactly what each sister wants: a rainforest job for Zadie Belle on Mt. Wai'ale'ale, a beach and a reason for new outfits for Darla Belle, and her first trip out of the state at all for youngest sister May Belle. They step off of the plane eager and hopeful only to meet with calamity within the first few hours in the form of a car accident.

With two deliveries down and only one left to complete for the requirements of her inheritance, the murder of her father solved, and finally being settled into her new (old, very very old trailer) home, she is revved up and ready to go. That is, until her coworkers point out that her next delivery is to the state of Maine!
