Life Bite Series. Happiness is something that we all have within us, it is nowhere else in life. Despite endless books and CD's and such like happiness is well within our control, farming it out or outsourcing it is a stupid thing to do. Thinking that "out there" someone has the key to happiness is like admitting you are already brain dead. Life may not be swimmingly fabulous every day but that doesn't negate the fact that you have to be unhappy either, unless of course you choose to do so.

Life Bite Series. Bereavement is going to hit us all at some point in our lives. It is the one inevtiable thing that's guaranteed. How we think of death is partly due to our religion and the stilted morbid way that we have been taught about it. Yet if you believe in God then death is not that bad. If "love" was in the equation then it still existes even after death (escept in Islam where love is purely conditional).

Happiness is not rocket science. Happiness is available to anyone regardless of their circumstances and situations. If you choose to demark happiness based upon any problems then by default you will be unhappy, where the mind goes the body follows.

If we can't communicate we can't express our love, our upset, our thoughts, our feelings, our aspirations, our creativity, in fact if we don't express ourselves we are making ourselves redundant in life and falling very short of who we are. Yes, there are despots and dictators and evil religions that supress communications and the messages they deliver, but the irony of all of that is that they poach from the societies that allow communications because they haven't themelves the guts or brain power to effectively use it.

Our attitude defines us as people, our attitude denotes who we are and what we do and why. Our attitude speaks volumes about our character and how we think and view life and what we hold dear, in fact our attitude is everything. Our attitude is what others latch onto in us and similarly it's others' attitude that we latch onto to make an assessment of what they are like and can, indeed, we trust them in every respect. Those who are thick, stupid, ignorant, egotistical are those who get angry very quickly by because they just can't comprehend much else with their stunted mental growth.

We need to stand firm in life even if we are cajoled or bullied by loud and bombastic people or organizations that want you to do what they want for their purposes. Never ever be frightened to complain; do it in style as high as you can go and copy others in the correspondence so that everyone knows. Never ever be blackmailed by family, friends, or those who use "emotional blackmail" in trying to get their way above yours.

Life Bite Series. We all at times go through some sort of struggle. It doesn't matter what it is, to us it is very real and we feel very much the implication of what that struggle means to us. Our struggle may be greater or lesser than those around us but that serves no place in how we feel nor how we deal with it. The good news is that we are far more resilient than we think we are and we overcome it all and come out the other end ready to join life on better terms than before, even if in somewhat different ways.

Life Bite Series. We need to take ownership of our lives otherwise life will literally drag us where it wants to go which is more likely nowwhere near where we want to go. We don't need to let others decide for us what we want either just because they think it is a good idea or things to do. You don't have to be loud or bombastic, just be yourself with a clear and straightforward resolve as to what you want to do, or if you don't know at least you know what you don't want to do.

Life Bites Series. Selfishness is not a very nice trait to have. The result of selfishness can lead to loneliness, illness, being cranky, having no friends, missing out in life, isolation and disrespecting yourself. Strangely enough it is selfish people that think they are generous and the generous think they haven't given enough. Selfish people always stand back in life unless something is free then they are at the head of queue, they become mean and calculating in everything they do.

Life Bite Series. The Mind Gremlins are those little creatures that live in the dark places in your mind and when you feel stressed, anxious, worries etc they come out to play. There is nothing they like more than dancing the night away to your negativity, booging to your insecurity, discoing to your fears and just having a good time whilst you stare at the bedroom ceiling all night, turning over and over and worrying about everything that comes into view. What do you do to stop it all and get a good night's sleep.

Accepting yourself just the way you are is the most liberating thing you can do. Second guessing as to what others think isn't an option, it's a let down by the self, the right people will love you for who you are. Your pathway is unique even if at times it tends to seemingly be parallel with others or situations, it is never the less unqiue.

Life Bites Series. Self Esteem is vitally important for without it we can lose out on a lot in life including our jobs and allowing ourselves to be happy. Self esteem is what we think about ourselves and our standing in life. It's not being arrogant it is understanding who we are which is totally different and it also puts into place our standing and relationship with others and life itself. We are all different and there isn't such a thing as "one size fits all" but we have to understand where we are placed.

Love is one of the most complex yet simple aspects of our lives. We can't do without it. We don't have to analyse it nor deeply scrutinise it, either, it is an inherent feeling we have. Love gives us the feeling of knowing what is right and what is wrong and many of the so called "bad people" in life have either been badly betrayed or allowed evil and negative thoughts to overcome their inherent feelings. Everything in life is a choice, if we do bad it is because we have chosen to do so, it just doesn't happen.

Do you live your of life of your own accord or do you live it because others have directed you or put pressure on to you to live it in a certain way? Many people actually live a life with a constancy of saying "If I do this so and so will get upset" so they don't do what they want to do. That's not acceptable living in the footprint or fear of possibly upsetting someone else.

Life Bite Series. Good communications are paramount if we are to enjoy life, feel good, be happy, understand where we are and those around us. We all know those who are bad communicators in life because they expect everyone else to call them and feel badly done when it doesn't happen. But communications are a two way thing and a lack of communication can lead to you not only being left out in life or lose business but end up lonely and isolated.

At times we would all like to change our life or aspects of our life. We get into a rut or things don't quite work out as they should or circumstances change etc. Well, the only thing stopping us change is ourselves and not the excuses we hide behind.... We all have second and third and fourth chances every single day, we can if we wish alter our lives sometimes dramatically in an instant. For others it takes time, but change is by its own nature is an ongoing process.

The word "spirituality" is brandished about today as almost a surrogate word for God. Instead of saying you believe in whatever religion you do, it's almost the "in thing" to say you are spiritual and believe in the Universe (whatever that means). The Universe exists whether you believe in it or not. Even the dictionay definition of the word spirituality is somewhat vague in that it can mean a lot of different things, even if pertaining to the same thing.

When we get angry, upset, or someone does something we don't like, or we feel disadvantaged, we process that information in our mind. It is the only place where we can "come to terms" with what we have experienced, whatever it is. Our levels or degrees of intelligence play a vital part in how we think and look at life. Ghandi said that "forgiveness was not something the lower classes or the uneducated could do", and by and large it appears to be true.

Life not only throws spanners in the works, it throws at times whatever it can get hold of, it catches us off guard and makes us feel just so vulnerable. Whether it's something financial, health related, work wise, relationships or a combination of all of those it matters not, it is not nice and furthermore very much dulls our outlook on life, which in reality is the last thing we need.

Forgiveness is essential if we are not to burden our minds with events that have passed. It is not always easy but it is essential. Gandhi said "The weak can never forgive it only comes from the strong," and it is so true. The ignorant, those who worship evil religions, and the stupid can never ever forgive as to them it's a lack of face so they harbour hatred and evil and carry it around with them as a moribund justification. Hence they are great failures in life as they can't move on. Anger within hurts yourself more than anything, it's like drinking poison and expecting others to die, it never works.
