Joining us at Audible Studios is Damian Barr, British writer, columnist and playwright, who released his novel, You Will Be Safe Here, in 2019. Barr was born in Scotland and attended Lancaster University. Barr's first article ran in The Guardian in 1996, and since then he has written for titles such as The Sunday Times and Big Issue. Barr's first book was published in 2006 and was the first book to focus on the quarter-life crisis in the UK, titled Get It Together: How to Survive Your Quarterlife Crisis.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Heather Morris, an author whose debut novel, The Tattooist of Auschwitz, was a huge success. Morris grew up in New Zealand and has split her adult life between there and Australia. Morris worked in the Social Work Department at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne from 1995-2017. During this time, Morris decided to pursue her love of storytelling and enrolled in a professional scriptwriting course. In 2003, her life and career path changed. She was introduced to Lale Sokolov, upon whose story she based The Tattooist of Auschwitz.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Louise Doughty, an English fiction and non-fiction writer, a playwright and a journalist. Doughty studied for an MA in Creative Writing. As her writing for newspapers and radio began to garner more attention, she wrote and released her first novel, and hasn't stopped since then. One of her novels, Apple Tree Yard, was adapted into a BBC series under the same name.

The Mister tells the story of well-to-do (and well-off!) Maxim Trevelyan, who is living the high-life with good lucks, aristocratic connections, and no need to work. Things change when Maxim is charged with the responsibility of inheriting his family's wealth, estates and titles. It is not a role well suited to Maxim. In this interview, we spoke to E. L. Joining us in the Audible Studios to discuss her latest book, Bad Girls: A History of Rebels and Renegades, is author and journalist Caitlin Davies. Caitlin Davies was born in London in 1964. She is the author of five novels and five non-fiction books, and has worked as a teacher and freelance journalist for 25 years. In 1989 she moved to Botswana where she worked for the country's first tabloid newspaper, The Voice, and later as editor of the Okavango Observer. She received a Journalist of the Year award.

Kaite Welsh is an Edinburgh-based journalist, author and critic who writes a regular column on LGBT issues for The Daily Telegraph as well as making multiple appearances on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour. She has been referred to as the exciting new voice in historical crime, and she visits the Audible Studios to talk about her first book, The Wages of Sin, set in the dark belly of the Victorian era in 19th-century Edinburgh.
