Joining us at Audible Studios is Esme Young, English fashion designer and judge on the BBC's The Great British Sewing Bee. Beginning her career in the 1970s, Young established her brand 'Swanky Modes', opening a shop in Camden Town. Her designs were sought after, and appeared in ID and Nova. She has also designed costumes for films such as Bridget Jones's Diary and Trainspotting, including the iconic bunny outfit for Renée Zellweger. Esme Young has now written Behind the Seams, her memoir looking back over her life and time in fashion.

Launching to fame after the infamous 2013 'Blurred Lines' music video, Emily Ratajkowski has made a name for herself as a formidable fashion model, walking for Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu and Versace, to name but a few. She has regularly been listed as 'sexiest female', 'woman of the year' and 'hottest sex symbol', but Ratajkowski is far more than her appearance. She is a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, and a political activist, endorsing Bernie Sanders. She has also starred in several feature films, such as Entourage, Welcome Home, and Gone Girl.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Rosie Jones, British stand-up comedian, screen writer and children’s author. Having begun her career as a junior researcher for comedy panel shows, Jones realised she wanted to be the one telling the jokes, not just writing them. A couple of years on, and Jones is a regular on shows such as The Last Leg, 8 Out of 10 Cats, and across BBC Radio 4. Jones writes for sitcoms such as Netflix's Sex Education and launched her own podcast called Daddy Look at Me.

Omar El Akkad joins us in the Audible Studios to discuss his debut novel, American War. Having spent 10 years as a journalist reporting on subjects such as the war in Afghanistan and military trials in Guantanamo Bay, Omar has turned his attentions to dystopian fiction in American War. Set in 2074, the novel portrays a world where climate change and political uprisings have transformed everything as we know it - and civil war has broken out in America.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to discuss the second book in his Pendulum trilogy, Freefall, is author, screenwriter and filmmaker Adam Hamdy. Born and raised in London, Adam Hamdy has been writing thrillers ever since he can remember. Adam talks to us about his transition into writing, what inspires him the most and the art of suspense.

Ian Sainsbury joins us in the Audible Studios to chat about his The World Walker series and latest release, the fourth book in the series, The Unnamed Way. The combined talents of Rob Grant and Andrew Marshall have had a large influence on British television. With Grant being the cocreator of Red Dwarf and former head writer of Spitting Image and Marshall responsible for 2point4children, Dad and Health & Efficiency, it seems only natural that they would team up for a radio series and novel collaboration with The Quanderhorn Xperimentations, a period sci-fi fantasy published in 2018. Rob Grant and Andrew Marshall talk to us about their latest novel spin-off, the inspiration behind it and what it’s like to write in partnership.

Abnett has also written prolifically for Marvel and DC, as well as 2000 AD.

Author of tens of popular science books loved by adults and children alike, Chown has been explaining gravity, the universe and quantum theory to the masses for years. Following his science education at prestigious universities, Chown has made it his aim for people to be as engaged and fascinated by science as he is, whether through reading books, watching television shows or even listening to radio comedy. Marcus Chown talks to us about his latest book, why quantum theory is stranger than science fiction and the only book for which he’s ever left an Amazon review.

Joining us for a chat is the people's poet laureate, the punk performance poet, John Cooper Clarke, who is releasing his memoir I Wanna Be Yours. Clarke, born in Salford, is well known for his classic look of drainpipe jeans, wild black hair and sunglasses, whatever the weather, something which hasn't changed since the 1970s. Being inspired and encouraged by an English teacher at school, Clarke decided that he would make a living from poetry. He performed with many hugely successful bands, such as The Sex Pistols, Joy Division and New Order.

Joining us at Audible Studios is James Windust, writer, public speaker and model. Windust graduated from UCA Epsom with a degree in fashion management and marketing and within six months of their graduation was named as one of London's 1,000 most influential people by The Evening Standard. Windust is a freelance writer and has written pieces for British GQ, Gay Times, The Independent and many more. As well as being a writer, Windust is also a public speaker and has spoken at events for Tommy Hilfiger and TEDxLondonWomen.

Picoult, born in New York, has published more than 26 novels and short stories, not including the several issues of Wonder Woman she wrote for DC Comics. Picoult has 40 million copies of her books in print, and they have been translated into 34 languages - to say she is a prolific writer would be an understatement, and she was awarded the New England Bookseller Award for fiction in 2003.

Magid, born in Somalia, came to Britain as a refugee in 1994. He grew up in Sheffield and completed a travelling gap year before studying at the University of Hull, where his foray into politics began, being elected as Students Union president. Entering the world of work, Magid was elected as a Green Party councillor on Sheffield City Council in 2016, and from 2018-2019 he served as lord mayor.
