The title of my book came about after teaching a young girls' Sunday school class. We studied strong and influential women in the Bible. When I retired, I really wanted to teach a women's Bible study. After several years, that did not come to fruition. I woke up early one Sunday morning, and the thought came to me: "Write a book about strong and influential women in the Bible." I had never thought about writing a book. I immediately googled Christian publishing companies. I immediately saw Christian Faith Publishing and sent an email explaining that I would like to write a book.

There are so many people that ask Jesus to come into their hearts and save them, but they go on their merry way and keep living and not even want to have a relationship, or maybe they don't know how to have a relationship with the one who has saved them. This book will show you the ups and downs of life and how Jesus will walk with you through it all.

Many years ago in the town of Bethlehem, God gave the world the most precious of gifts. We have heard the story retold many times, but what if we were to imagine what this night was like for the stars shining in the Bethlehem sky? Which star would guide the shepherds to the baby in a manger? In this retelling of the greatest story ever, we meet the stars chosen to shine that night. And, we learn that regardless of what others may see, God created all of us to "shine our shine."

This book is about my autobiography and who I am, where I come from, my life story, my ancestors, my cultural identity as a Black Woman of Color. I came from an abusive home—physical, psychological, and sexual abuse. My grandparents, the late Will Graham and the late Clara Jackson, were born in the late 1800s. They worked for free and for a roof over their heads. They were sharecroppers and picked cotton out on the fields on the plantation for $3 a week and sometimes nothing. They starved for meats and breads a lot. They planted a garden and made their own clothes.

This story is about two young clouds who are moving through the sky for the first time. They laugh and have fun, and they decide to become friends. Due to very strong winds, they are separated from each other. Their journey begins as they look for each other throughout the sky. Along the way, they meet many wise and encouraging clouds who teach them the importance of having faith, love, friendship, courage, and never losing hope. They learn being a cloud is a great adventure. And they learn so much about what happens in the sky, and how each cloud has a purpose.

Into the Light is a raw and deeply personal memoir, based on a true story of survival, faith, and the unspoken words that shape a life. Dawn P. Darby takes listeners on a journey through a childhood marked by neglect, abuse, and rejection, and into the challenges of motherhood, broken marriages, special needs parenting, and devastating loss. With courage and honesty, she reveals how grief, betrayal, and hardship pushed her toward self-discovery and how faith, resilience, and unconditional love brought her healing.

Linda knew one day she would tell the story of how she overcame what she went through-and it would be someone else's survival guide. She didn't trust too many people until she became close to them as she grew older. Linda takes you on a journey through the ups, the downs, and the topsy-turvy ride being bipolar takes you on. Along this journey, life sometimes gets messy. You'll learn about the "voices" as well as mental illness. Linda recommends attaching yourself to a vision, calling, or purpose only-that's how you keep your power and your peace.

Daniel's Journey is a chronicle about the journey a family traversed during Daniel's sickness, how God showed Himself through it all, and how He brought along people to support the family as they navigated the journey. In the book, Elizabeth wants to demonstrate how faith can take you through the most difficult times in life. This book illustrates how she saw God's right hand holding her and her family; the support of prayers, peace, and provisions that family and friends who rallied behind her during this challenging time gave; and how God is still guiding and providing for her.

This book explains what bipolar disorder is, outlines medications that work to combat it, describes Bridget's journey with God, and talks about how the stigma of mental illness has been somewhat alleviated, but there is still work to be done.

Imagine growing up where you were taught to love everyone. Then you get told you were found under a cabbage leaf. You get asked why you don't look like your sister or brother. You still don't think anything is wrong until...one day, many years later, something comes to light, and the next thing you know, you are taking a DNA test. Then you look back and realize not everyone loved you as you thought.

Beyond the Imprint (BTI) heralds a new paradigm of thinking within the field of mental health counseling that is beyond the duality of our unconscious conditioning. Quantum Physics is beginning to replace the mechanistic view of Newtonian Physics and is teaching us with every new discovery that we are intimately interconnected with our environment and everything in it. This includes the understanding that we can change what is outside of us by simply changing ourselves.

Uncertainty breeds fear, and we certainly live in uncertain times. Look around you--threats of violence and death, financial instability, natural disasters, pandemics, cancel culture, and war headline every news story and dominate nearly every conversation. The devil would have you trembling at all you could lose. But the child of God is not called to live in fear: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV).

Not all daughters are their daddy's little girl. Too many times, their fathers are absent from their lives or nonexistent. Some may have been abusive. The book is about how much the Heavenly Father loves them. Earthly fathers may not be able to love their daughters in the way they need. Through scriptures, the author goes into detail on how much the Father loves his children. He can bring peace and comfort and an incredible love that can't be matched to any other love. We are all imperfect daughters with imperfect earthly fathers.

From the dark ages, the treatment of those mentally ill has progressed from chaining to a wall those afflicted with mental disturbance who never saw the light of day.
