Jesus is coming! The marvelously heartwarming theme of Paul’s two electrifying epistles to the Thessalonian believers is a stirring, rejuvenating communiqué of vibrant hope, one they desperately needed to hear. In today’s post nine-11 world, where we seemingly lurch from crisis to crisis, this is a message we'd do well to take on board. In Hope and Glory, Sam Gordon takes the listener verse-by-verse through a careful study of these two epistles and communicates a vibrant message of hope for Christians of all ages.

A timely and compelling new look at three key women in the biblical narrative. Among the mostly male-dominated narratives in Scripture, the stories of women can be game-changing. In this book Debbie Blue looks closely at Hagar (mother of Islam), Esther (Jewish heroine), and Mary (Christian matriarch) - and finds in them unexpected and inviting new ways of navigating faith and life.

Many people are fascinated with Mary Magdalene. Over the years, I have interacted with Mary many times. As a result, I have learned the untold story of Mary Magdalene, which reads a little differently than what many popular books or media portray. In this short audiobook, see a bird’s eye view of Mary: her life before she met Jesus, the life she had when she met Jesus, and the life she lived after Jesus left earth.

In the story of Jesus, frequently skimmed over or left aside is the story of the Jesus of Nazareth who confronted systemic injustice, angered those in power, risked his life for the oppressed and suffering, and worked to preach and establish the kingdom of God - all of which would lead to his execution on Calvary. In this insightful and moving volume, authors James and Judith McConkie turn to the latest scholarship on the historical and cultural background of Jesus to discover lessons on what we can learn from his exemplary life.

Examines Abraham's family and assesses the significant roles it plays across three religions - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Relating biblical narrative to theological concerns, Fretheim wrestles with such controversial concepts as God's selection of an elect people, the gift of land and other promises, the role of women and outsiders, the character of God, and the suffering of innocents.

In Who is Jesus?, Leander E. Keck discusses the quest for the Jewish Jesus of history and challenges listeners to think seriously not only about Jesus' historical existence but also about his ongoing moral and theological significance. Keck clarifies the difference between the way Jesus is presented in the gospels and the way critical historians portray him.

Not long ago, network news carried the stunning video of a young woman trying to jump to her death off the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge in Green Bay. Scotland's beloved storyteller George MacDonald, nineteenth-century Scottish novelist and poet, was reintroduced to twentieth century Christians by C.S. Lewis, whose reading of MacDonald’s Phantastes triggered his own spiritual awakening and conversion. Other renowned writers have voiced...

The Magi of nativity scenes are romanticized as well-dressed wisemen bringing gifts to Jesus. Traditional Chrstians tell of a miraculous star that guided exotic kings from Persia, India, and Africa. Academics dismiss both accounts as no more than a pious legend. Who is right? In The Mystery of the Magi, Dwight Longenecker shows that all sides are wrong and the Magi were diplomats from Petra, the capital of the Nabatean kingdom of Arabia.

Filmmaker and medical doctor Lena Einhorn uses all her scientific skills to elucidate the true story about the historical Jesus, changing, perhaps irrevocably, the study of New Testament history and the way we see the relationship between Jesus and the apostle Paul.

In this compelling portrait of Paul the man, his message, and his world, Robin Griffith-Jones reveals the apostle as a brilliantly entrepreneurial witness to the transforming presence of Jesus himself. The world's three largest faiths all find a common root in one man: Abraham. Breaking new ground, David Rosenberg portrays Abraham as a man whose whole life, and therefore his legacy, is informed by the Sumerian culture that produced him. Abraham is a brilliant literary excavation of the ancient cultures from which our modern world has grown.

This short, easy-to-enjoy book will give its listeners effective weapons they can use in the fight against their doubt.

Beyond all other books it is a repository of human experience. As someone has said, "It contains the whole music of the heart of man, swept by the hand of his maker." Here we find "the lyrical burst of his tenderness, the moan of his penitence, the pathetic accent of his sorrow, the triumphant shout of his victory, the despairing sob of his defeat, the firm tone of his confidence, the rapturous note of his assured hope.''

This is the story of Ezra leading the nation of Judah back to Israel after being enslaved in Babylon for 70 years. If Israel was to be safe in ancient times, their city and walls had to be rebuilt. Join Bible teacher Verna Hargrove as she delves a little deeper into this wonderful book of the Bible.

As a young foreigner in Egypt, Joseph succeeded against overwhelming odds. Uprooted from his family in Canaan and sold as a slave in Egypt, he made the best of unpromising situations. Sold to Potiphar as a field hand, he worked diligently and soon became overseer of Potiphar's entire estate. Though innocent of any wrongdoing, Potiphar's wife accused him of attempted rape, and Potiphar threw him into a prison house.

You are now embarking on a journey, seeing through the eyes of Paul, the most famous of all Apostles, hopefully, to discover his thoughts, his conversations, and struggles throughout his roller coaster ride of life. Although strictly based on the New Testament's accounts found in Paul's epistles and the Book of Acts, this novel projects you further into the hypothetical possibilities of what might have happened behind the scenes.

Misunderstood is the enlightening story of four biblical women who have historically been maligned by Bible scholars. Commentaries and study notes throughout the ages have condemned them for one reason or another. I hope you will take some time to think about giving grace to others instead of judging. Judging is the easiest and most natural thing we do when things don't look right to us. A holy God above us sees all. I would rather err on the side of grace than judgment.
