Jonah or Jonas, son of Amittai, is a prophet in the Hebrew Bible and the Quran, from Gath-hepher of the northern kingdom of Israel in about the 8th century BCE. Hosea is often seen as a "prophet of doom", but underneath his message of destruction is a promise of restoration.

At times, our chaotic world reveals hints of the utter brokenness in which we live, like a peek behind the veneer.
