In this collection we rely on the words and wisdom of such fine poets as John Milton, Emily Dickinson, Sir Walter Scott, Daniel Sheehan, Wordsworth, Longfellow and a whole host of others to absorb us in a Christmas time of hope and togetherness set amongst a landscape of winter wonderment and Nature’s palest palette. The experiences and memories they share with us speak of a time, of a world, that did have a common purpose and an ambition to share good fortune with everyone.

Angels are undeniably associated with religion and more usually Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Often they are seen as supernatural beings, benevolent celestial intermediaries interposed between God, Heaven and humanity. Obviously there are complications, a fact that our classic poets through the centuries, including Alexander Pope, Edmund Spenser, Radclyffe Hall and Hafiz, use as they write verse to explain, to reveal and to help us understand exactly why Angels are so prevalent amongst our thoughts.

According to legend, the language of the birds was a mystical language God used to talk with Adam and Eve when he walked with them in the garden of Eden. Amy Nemecek listens for this divine dialect as she communes with God on her walks along country roads and creek banks, through forests and hayfields.

Wishes and dreams piled deep below the turbulent seas. Allowing it all to bring me to my knees. Breaking away from the expectations at play. I finally step out of my own way. For once I see. I can do nothing, but to let it all be.

Fifty Nifty Poems is an inspired collection of light-hearted and thought-provoking thoughts and ideas put together in poems and prose. It touches your tingle bone but then hopes to engage you with deep reflection and introspection. It takes you on an adventure to seek, to wonder, to awe, to laugh, to cry, to think, and ponder. But, most of all, it invites you to enjoy and be thankful for the blessings of being human.

Original spiritual poetry. The words dance while your heart draws near to God. Do you have questions? There are answers. The printed book shows the poetry in elegant shapes. Most are wine glasses. The place where the piece comes together—where the listener can grasp hold of the message—is there a person picks up the glass to drink from. Contemplative complex poetry meant to feed the mind and soul with spiritual food.

The Belle in the Beast is a poem about a woman forced to adopt a beastly nature to stand trial against her peers.

What is blurred vision? Is it merely a physical condition, or does it extend to matters of the heart? For Judy Kirby, author of a poignant collection of poems and writings spanning a decade, these questions have defined her life's journey. At the age of 20, Judy's path turned unexpectedly when she was diagnosed with Stargardt's Macular Degeneration. This condition gradually robbed her of the ability to see faces and navigate the world as she once did. The promising future ahead of her, including a college degree in computer programming and accounting, suddenly seemed uncertain

This collection arguably contains some of the most charming lyrics ever written in English. The childlike simplicity and trust of these artless verses are unique. Blake’s poems can be enjoyed, not only for their historical importance in an age which was fiercely proud of its genius and its...

A Poetry Gift is a collection of poems about life, nature, and the human condition. It’s intended to make people smile, and bring a little bit of inspiration and happiness to all. The world has been through a lot in the last couple of years, and these poems have been written in the hope that they will touch the hearts of those who might need a comforting moment, or even just a chuckle.

These are poems of witness and commentary, conversation and meditation. They offer moments of close looking, and of looking away; of loving, and of bungled attempts to be more loving. They call us to look long and hard—and generously—at our lives. Written with radiant honesty and fierce tenderness, they suggest a path of inner discovery where mystery awaits us in the ordinary.

Wing Over Wing clears a path in the midst of everyday life to reveal the holy—whether catching fireflies at night, waiting at a bus stop, or experiencing the death of a loved one. This collection of beautiful poems lives at the intersection of the sacred and the ordinary, from the swirling flight of birds to conversations with the homeless.

Cornered by the Dark is a work about truth-telling and witness-bearing to the marginal men, women, and children who tell their story about a culture of indifference and callousness while finding courage and compassion to hope in everyday life.

3 of my favorite poems written in the past year that will stimulate thought and perspective to how this may apply to living the most beautiful and happiest life we can.

This collection of poems begins in the growing darkness of November, stretches through Advent and the seasons leading to Easter and to Pentecost, and ends in the budding light of the Scottish Orkney Islands, where the canonical hours measure time over centuries and where God broods over an austere and beautiful landscape.

A book for seekers, doubters, and believers alike, these poems bring us face to face with anguish, anger, awe, and adoration. They give us permission not to demand answers, but to follow the questions that lead to the Alpha and Omega, to the I AM that keeps us spiraling along this twisting path toward God.

A chapbook of experimental Christian poems that push the boundaries of typical patterns and topics. For those who have a basic understanding of scriptures already and wish to think in ways we habitually choose not to think about. Enjoy.
