Tom Stodulka has loved to write for many years, though as a child he found this form of expression was a struggle. As the years progressed, through high school and law school, Stodulka gained an appreciation of language and how it could be used as a tool for making a difference. His confidence grew enough to write diaries of his life in the Navy and eventually in 1976, on board the HMAS Duchess, he wrote his first poem, The World and the Future, which features in his first publication, Storm Clouds and Silver Linings; My Journey.

Apples of Gold is a collection of twenty eight poems meant to inspire and uplift, and offer encouragement for Christians. It is written with the spirit to edify and perfect the faith of those who have been walking with God for a while and those who are new to the faith. In addition, I hope this poetry speaks to others who have not initiated a relationship with the Lord. Just as my first two books, Words Fitly Spoken and Words Fitly Spoken Book Two spoke of God’s mighty power, his faithfulness and his tender loving care for us, Apples of Gold continues along the same vein.

Near the narrow gate of Heaven are the downtrodden and broken, sleeping under bridges and such. Having God as their only source and provider. More grateful than many in this world that have it all, because they embrace struggle and unpredictable falls.

Debut poet and devout Christian Kilgore attests that although he penned the poems in his ecclesiastic collection, “God is the true author,” and that the purpose of his poetry is to “bind hearts back to God” so that his listeners may find their own connection to Christ. Kilgore is most successful in this ambitious endeavor when he dramatizes his own spiritual euphoria, like in “Latter Rain,” which builds to these potent declarations: “This feeling that enraptured me // And shook my whole of frame, // Was God descending on my soul // His spirit’s Latter Rain.”

After the loss of my wife, Michele, in April of 2020 (we were together for fifty-six years), my heartache overwhelmed me. While in a hospice therapy session, I learned one method of healing was to write poetry and to date each one to show the progression of your healing. These poems are a result of that. I hope they help you possibly as much as they helped me.

This book is a collection of poetry centering heavily on practice of examining one's self, looking at once at one's actions and one's motivations, the examining of one's feelings. What are the things your heart longs for? How do you respond to situations when they go well or poorly? I believe that self-examination is important and needful in order to gain a godly perspective. The word of God and the life example that Jesus lived is the standard of how a life is to be lived.

A collection of thought-provoking poetry based on spiritual experiences as well as stories and characters from the Bible. Each poem is intended to give you a realistic perspective of a believer in Christ and, the consequences of disobedience to God's Word. This book will help the listener to understand the importance of repentance and what that looks like in the real world. God, and his desire for our lives have always remained the same. Making it clear what God expects from a person through poetry, it also highlights the incredible reward of faith and obedience.

After 60 years at Gethsemani Abbey, Br. Paul follows up his recent memoir, In Praise of the Useless Life, with a poetic collection that shows how to do just that–by writing poetry. Amounting to Nothing is both practical and metaphysical, a puzzling over the ultimate things of life, and a descending on the Benedictine ladder of humility to the earthly creatures surrounding a Kentucky monastery. This is less an exploration in self-knowledge than a forgetting of self in the wonders of everything.

Bask in words of comfort, expansion, declaration, renewal, and reconnection. These poems invite you to come home to yourself, heal, and embrace self-sovereignty and self-advocacy. From that place of internal strength, renewal, and care, explore interdependence and reciprocity as humans on this earth. Let these lyrical words accompany you into spiritual expansion and embodied advocacy.

Plunging into darkness, you look for a lifeline. I came forth from the mental hospitals fighting; drugged and almost committed for life. Flashbacks and putting the pieces together, memories unearthed. Unwanted are the memories, yet they come, crying out to God to not be forgotten. The mental system is designed to lock one in without recourse. And then comes the realization that to be alive is to breathe the air without restraint. To know that after the journey of waiting, my truth has set me free. I am Hilary Nili, and I survived.

This audiobook is a poetic account of my experiences in the journey of finding and getting to know who I am with Jesus in my heart.

At times playful, at times heartbreaking, When One World Ends, Another Begins is a raw, honest look at how it feels to be alive. On the surface, these poems are an examination of what it is to be human. Underneath, they’re an exploration of body image, fear, faith, and the ways life runs in circles. They exist to peel back the tough layers and expose the softness inside.

The great Indian Buddhist master Nagarjuna wrote his celebrated poem Letter to a Friend as a gift of advice to a South Indian king, and it has since become a monument in the Indian shastra tradition. Despite its short length (only 123 verses), it covers the entire Mahayana path, combining a practical approach to daily conduct with a theoretical exposition of the different stages leading to enlightenment. It has thus been an ideal source for many of Tibet’s greatest scholars seeking a scriptural authority to enhance their own descriptions of the Buddhist path.
