This audiobook tells the surprisingly exciting tale of Justin of Neapolis, known today as St. Justin Martyr and his encounters with the vigorous early heresies that threatened to paralyze the young Church just as she was struggling to her feet. Scripture Wars is an inspiring, true-life testimony to our Father's providence, a tale that has the power to strengthen the faith of Catholics even today, 18 centuries later.

Padre Pio was gifted with the cross of Jesus from his earliest days. His personal relationship with Jesus and Mary manifested itself to him from the time he was a child. His entire world centered around the little church of Our Lady of the Angels in his little home town of Pietrelcina. It might as well have been his home. He spent more time there than at his home. All the important events in his early life took place in that church.

Our rich history is filled with undeniable signs, proof positive from the Lord that it was indeed his will that this New World be consecrated to his name, for his glory, and for his people. There are no coincidences with God. The heavenly mandate to evangelize new lands and to proclaim the name of Jesus was given to the Catholic Queen Isabella and her husband King Ferdinand to institute, in thanksgiving to Our Lord for having delivered Spain from the Moslems after 700 years of captivity.

In 1945, the Nazi war machine was finally crushed and cities and countries all over Europe were being liberated by the Allied Forces. Great shouts of joy could be heard. Young girls in Rome, Paris, Amsterdam, and other cities across Europe kissed young GIs and other liberating forces. Churches were filled with masses of Thanksgiving.

After her husband became an agnostic, Stina Kielsmeier-Cook was left "spiritually single" - struggling to live the Christian life on her own, taking her kids to church by herself, and wrestling with her own questions and doubts. In this memoir, Kielsmeier-Cook tells the story of her mixed-faith marriage and how she found community in an unexpected place: an order of Catholic nuns in her neighborhood. As she spent time with them and learned about female Catholic saints, she began to see that she was not "spiritually single" after all - and that no one really is.

"Francis, go and build up my house, which thou seest, is falling into ruin." To fulfill this command of Our Lord, St. Francis of Assisi (1181-1226) began by restoring physical churches and continued by building up the spiritual church in souls. Francis' humility, purity, and true joy inspired many to conversion and a deeper faith.

There are three women who made their marks upon the Church with the work they did among the Native Americans and with the children of Canada. They are Saint Marguerite Bougeoys, foundress of Sisters of Notre Dame, Saint Marie Marguerite D’Youville, the first Canadian-born saint and foundress of the Sisters of Charity in Canada, also known as the Grey Nuns, and Blessed Marie de l’Incarnation, Foundress of the Ursuline Sisters in Canada.

Born in England, he felt the calling early in life to evangelize to the pagans and fallen-away Catholics in Germany. He worked tirelessly to bring the faith to the German people. Various Popes applauded his work, gave him the protection of Charles Martel, and made him Bishop, and then Archbishop, and finally Primate of Germany. He was martyred evangelizing.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Allotting became very popular towards the end of the 15th century, actually 1489, as a result of a major miracle. A little child, about three years old, had gotten too close to the edge of the river, and had fallen in. Not being able to swim, he drowned. When his mother found the child, she lost control of her senses for a moment, and then heard an inner voice telling her to rush the dead body of the child to the Holy Chapel of Our Lady. She ran for all she was worth to the chapel and laid the body of her child on the altar of Our Lady.

It was said that after the Blessed Sacrament, the Lord was most pleased to dwell in the heart and soul of this saint. As a result St. Gertrude the Great (1256-1302) is the only one who has the name "great" in her title.
