In an ideal world, Advent would be spent in quiet contemplation, meditating upon the wonder of the Christ-child, and anticipating his return as our saviour. Instead, we enter arguably the busiest month of the year. Have we booked time off to see the kids' Nativity play? What's the secret Santa budget? And who became a vegetarian this year? Perhaps, though, it is this busyness which can be the key to a deeper connection with Christ. Perhaps these Christmas 'trimmings' have the potential to teach us more about God.

From one of the most revered Catholic periodicals in the world comes a treasury of Christmas stories that listeners will find both heartwarming and spiritually nourishing. With subjects that range from saints to single mothers, from Depression-era childhoods and poverty to times of great peace and prosperity, these stories remind us of miracle and mystery, of faith and transformation, of all that lives in the spirit of Christmas.

The promise that miracles can happen is never more certain than during the holiday season, when it really does seem that your dreams and wishes can come true. From a guardian angel who finds a desperately needed job for a man whose wife is about to give birth right before Christmas, to a pair of grieving parents who receive a warm Christmas message from their recently departed son, these incredible-but-true, larger-than-life miracles celebrate the wondrous joys of this special time of year. Because the first Christmas - and every one since - is a miracle.

Witness Christmas was created with biblical models of peace in mind. It combines holy scripture with the soothing word-centered modern folk hymns of ordinary time to create a truly unique worship experience. We hope it draws you closer to God and brings you peace, both in this life and the next.

Most Christians agree that Christmas is all about Jesus, yet most of us spend little time preparing our hearts to celebrate Him. Why is this? Partly because we don’t know how. In Unwrapping the Names of Jesus, Asheritah Ciuciu leads listeners through the four weeks of Advent (Hope, Preparation, Joy, and Love). This devotional can be used by listeners in their own personal worship times or as a tool to engage in family worship during the busy holiday season. Either way, participants will gain a greater sense of awe and wonder at who Jesus is.

In Defeating Scrooge, Baker describes, with humor and pathos, the path which led her to her life's work in caroling, her crisis of spirit and how she set about reviving it. In her journey back to joy, she immerses herself more deeply into the carols and discovers poignant life stories of the lyricists and composers, the countries in which they were written, what was going on in those countries at the time and the catalysts which brought these carols to life.
